Ok, so every few years I decide I am going to let my hair grow...and then Thai Summer comes around. Or some hot Summer somewhere.
I used to have long hair. And it was blond. That's right, tenage Nicole had a blond bob and wore vintage mod/goth/hippie clothes and somehow manged this style into the confines of a Catholic school dress code. Anyway, I digress. My hair.
I got to univeristy, University of California at Santa Cruz. The most beautiful campus. In the forest, yet on the beach. Again, getting off the point. I grew out my blond locks and spent a lot of time getting it out of my face or tying it back. But still...it was pretty. Well that year at college I met an English guy (I never liked American guys) and went to see him in the UK and the south of France in the Summer of '89. I saw all these fationable French women with short hair and likes it. Besides it was bloody hot down there.
Well upon my return to the US, I cut my hairs. It was so refreshed. I got to do all sorts of fun things with it, cuz if it didn't look good, in a month, a new "crop" of hair was in and the bad style/mistake was gone. Some people liked it, some didn't. Women should have long hair or something like that. It was still not very commen for women to sports short hair those days. But, I liked it and I loved how many time it saved me. I am one for getting sleep over primping.
Well, it is 2010 and I still have short hair. And next time you see me, it'll be shorter, because it's Summer...and I am lazy...and....
