For all of you who are addicted to internet, Facebook, google or youtube, you have a new excuse now!
Scientists believe that surfing the internet could be the latest way to improve a brain and slow down losing memories, a result from a study in California University (UCLA) which compared how brain works in a group of 24 people, aged from 55-78.
In a study, half of the people were internet surfers who play internet everyday and another half were those who hardly touch a computer. After they had been brain-scanned, they were let home and told to surf the internet for one and a half hours everyday for two weeks before the next scan. After two weeks they came back for a brain-scan again. The result showed that a group that hardly surf the internet had more active brain.
This study is according with a sooner study from UCLA. Brain specialists support the theory that states “less use, sooner die” and suggest that playing games, chess, writing books or other activities that need comprehension could prevent losing memories.
